Ever wondered what it's like to milk a goat, or make your own soap?

Join us in Gales Creek, Oregon, for a beginner-friendly introduction to dairy goats and cold-process soap making on the farm!

Whether you’re curious about making your own products, exploring homesteading, or just looking for a hands-on experience in nature, this class is a chance to learn something new and see how things are done on a working goat dairy.

Details: We’ll start with the goats, covering the basics of care before giving you a chance to try your hand at milking one yourself. We’ll then head into soap making, where you’ll learn how we turn our own goat’s milk into cold-process soap and gain experience making a batch yourself.

Along the way, we’ll introduce the tools, ingredients, and techniques involved, with practical tips to continue exploring at home. There will be time for questions and discussion, with some flexibility to dive deeper into topics of interest. 

Lunch break (30-min) will include a light sampling of our farm-fresh cheese. Feel free to bring your own lunch or snacks to enjoy. 

Note: Open to all ages and experience levels. No farm or prior experience required — just a curiosity and willingness to get your hands dirty!
